ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES
Nature is free and nature is also for free. What is often needed are some good tips on what and how. It costs nothing.
But if you are going out at sea or into the wilderness, you need a boat, some safety advices or an acquaintance. And we can offer you that.
In Gjesvær you can experience deep-sea fishing, bird safaris, fishing on mountains, king crab safaris, scooter safaris, mountain hikes, boat trips, trips to the North Cape, Magerøya sightseeing by boat or car, hunting hares and grouse, and reindeer experiences.
At the camp, you can relax in our outdoor bath, our sauna or in the cozy barbeque hut.

DEEP SEA FISHING
The best deep sea fishing is 10-minute boat ride away. We fish halibut, redfish, cod, saithe, haddock, catfish and in fact many more varieties. Whales, porpoises and seals are often seen. Our professional fishing guides find the best places based on fish type, day, weather and current. Angling is a hobby that everyone easily enjoys!
You can have your own boat, or go fishing with us in our boat.

It costs EURO 500,- per day. We will then show you the fishing spots.

NORTH CAPE SAUNA & JACUZZI AND BARBEQUE HUT
We are building a lot of new facilites at the camp:
This spring, we build a good sauna and a jacuzzi at the dock.
For cooking and preparation, we now have a smoking cabinet for fish, raindeer and king crab.
We also have an outdoor kitchen and a big barbeque hut on the dock.

BIRD SAFARI
Just a 10 minute boat ride and right next to our best fishing spots, we find the iconic bird mountain Gjesværstappan. The mountain is home to millions of seabirds: here is Northern Europe's largest puffin colony, guillemots, auks, cormorants, crutches, seahorses and the northernmost sea otter colony in Norway. And dozens of eagles.

FISHING ON THE MOUNTAIN PLATEAU
The drive to the fishing village Gjesvær takes you across the mountain plateau on Magerøya. It is an experience in itself.
And in the reindeers' kingdom, there is also an eldorado of fishing water for big char, both for ice fishing and rod fishing.
We have the fishing equipment needed. There are also free cabins by some lakes.
Of course we give you the local secrets - there is enough fish and water. Here are more fish than people to put it that way.

There is virtually nothing that can compare to the experience of such a mighty nature and such tranquility, combined with a fast and restless snowmobile
which takes you across the mountain plateau. Our local heroes take you safely on an unforgettable trip in our newly opened scooter trail from Gjesvær!
The scooter ride can take you all the way from Gjesvær and to the North Cape if you want!
