Welcome homeWelcome to live in our fisherman's cabins. "Rorbu" is a typical Norwegian designed house by the sea. There are many "rorbu" in Norway. They were originally built for the season's fishermen, and now rorbu is the most popular among tourists. In a rorbu you are always 2 meter from the sea!
We have been awarded with 9,8 out of 10 by our guests at Booking.com. We have four apartments in our rorbus. All have 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. Each apartment can accommodate 6 people. We can accommodate 24 people at a time, in 4 different apartments. The kitchens are fully equipped for cooking. The apartments have a good, simple standard and they are clean and nice. We wash the rorbu for you after your stay. We have our own gutting and freezing room, fishing equipment and warm floating suits for comfortable fishing. Our boats are on our own pier. For our foreign guests, it is allowed to bring 18 kg fillet per person across the border. It is 200 meters to the nearest grocery store. Opening hours: MATKROKEN GJESVÆR (coop.no) This year we have a new outdoor kitchen, barbeque cabin, sauna and hot tub at the camp.
